Pan Fried Chicken Dumpling (Momo) is a very special version of the regular Dumpling (Momo). The tasty spicy sauce provides additional flavor to the already delicious Dumpling (Momo).i had tried pan fried momo in sizzler plate,its gives very tempting and yummy flavour in pan fried momo.
Mix the flour with 1 tsp salt, oil and water and knead a smooth dough. Make sure that the dough doesn’t stick to your hand.
Mix the chicken with onions, garlic, cabbage, carrot and grated ginger. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix it well and keep it for 30 min.
Now take a small piece of dough and roll small round shape with a rolling Ensure that the edges are slightly thinner than the center.
Put a tablespoon of chicken mix and fold the round shape into half and twist the edges to seal and make sure that there is no opening or bring all the edges together, to the center by making pleats. Pinch and twist the pleats to secure the stuffing
Put a steamer to boil and grease the steaming tray with oil. Place the momo on the steamer and let it cook for 10-15 min.
Heat a pan ,toss the cooked momo in sauce and put chopped corriender leaves.Mix well
Method for sauce
Take tomatoes, dry red chilli and water in a sauce pan and cook till tomatoes get mushy. Cool it down and take it in a blender.
Add all other ingredients and make it into a fine puree.
Preparing the iron griddle
. Remove cast iron griddle from its wooden base.Rub oil generously on both sides of the cast iron griddle.
Preheat griddle by keeping it directly on the stovetop on high heat for 5-7 minutes. Reduce heat to low (the stove on which the griddle is on).
Carefully place the hot griddle back on its wooden base. Arrange a bed of shredded cabbage.
serve the tossed momo on it and put a tsp of the oil and vinegar miix on the cast iron griddle (for the sizzling effect).
