Instructions
  1. Marinate the fillet with ginger garlic paste, lemon juice and salt. Rest it for 2-3 hrs. Grind mustard seeds, poppy seeds and 1-2 green chilies in a grinder and make paste.
  2. Add mustard oil, curd, red chili powder, salt and turmeric powder to the paste.
  3. Marinate the fish with the paste.
  4. Cut 6 big pieces from the banana leaf and lightly roast it on open flame to make it soft and fold able.
  5. Now, place the fish pieces on the banana leaf.
  6. Divide the spice to coat both sides of the fish properly.
  7. Pour little more mustard oil on top and place one green chilly.
  8. Fold the banana leaves on the fish pieces and tie it with a string.
  9. Heat a tawa/fry pan or pan with little mustard oil and place the wrapped fish on it. Cover with a lid.
  10. The leaves will start changing its color from green to blackish
  11. It will take around 15 minutes for fish to cook.
